Many have misconceptions of what exactly is original sin. Now if we look in the Book of Genesis in the very first chapter, and in the second chapter, God looks upon His creations and he said and this was good. Now by the 3rd Chapter, God is looking upon his human creation and says everything he has created is bad, evil in fact. Why do you think this is? When God created man, he created him in His very own image, this also means that we (mankind) were given the ability to choose right or wrong, you see because those attributes were also built into us by our divine Creator. Now when God made the Garden, he put a tree right in the garden and he told Adam and eve not to eat of that fruit, the only command that God gave Adam and eve except to fill the earth and subdue it (care for it). See this was a direct command from God Almighty NOT to do something, but that ole wily serpent had to stick out his nasty little head and dare eve to partake of the fruit of that ONE tree, they had every other tree, and vegetation to partake of but that serpent FOOLED eve by telling her, what do you mean, God just doesn’t want you have ALL of HIS wisdom and knowledge, its ok Eve you can have the fruit, and she fell for it, and worse than that, because of the structure of the family, shall we say, it goes God has all authority, Husband has next authority and responsibility for his wife and the dealings of his family, so when Eve took the fruit and took it to her husband, he DID NOT tell her, silly woman, don’t you dare bite into that fruit, instead, he did not admonish her, and she ate of the fruit, making original sin, disobedience to God. And their punishment for that sin was that they were thrown out of the garden and from that time on, Adam would till the ground for their vary food. Now because of that sin, we have disobedience to all rules, including the part when Cain killed Able due to jealousy.
Once they were tossed out of the garden, Adam had to farm, from scratch, and work hard under the heat of the sun, the mist of the evening and any other unforeseen weather conditions or forces of nature and life was no longer perfect. Dont you know that just destroyed their world, and in time, made huge differences completely different than what God had intended for us, as his children.
But the good part is, we have a God who had to send another perfect man to take the place of the one that sinned and in that he sent HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, Jesus Christ to die a sinners death to save our soul from everlasting condemnation.
It is so easy to fix the eternal problem, one simple prayer... see, Jeremiah 17:9 says that the heart is more deceitful than all else and is desperately sick; who can understand it? Well the answer to that is, no one on this earth can, but Jesus Christ is our salvation, one simple prayer, and we are saved for all eternity, because the blood of Christ is eternal... simply say this simple prayer and know in your heart that this is so...
God, I know that I am a sinner. I know that I deserve the consequences of my sin. However, I am trusting in Jesus Christ as my Savior. I believe that His death and resurrection provided for my forgiveness. I trust in Jesus and Jesus alone as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank you Lord, for saving me and forgiving me! Amen!
